Hello Bungay Families! Welcome to the 2010 – 2011 Bungay School year! We hope this year is a wonderful one for you and your children. We have been planning PTA functions and activities for this year and know our Bungay Bees will enjoy them as much as ever. We are offering some incredible fundraisers this year to sponsor our field days, class trips, cultural awareness programs, classroom supplies and more.
And we are excited about our efforts to “Go Green”! Do you know that approximately 300 pounds of paper are used a year to copy the Friday Flash? Based on our attempt to cut down on paper (combined with upper grade kids seeming to lose notices!!) we are going to offer the Friday Flash a few different ways this year:
For the first month or two of school, we will send it home “as usual” on Friday afternoons
After we receive PTA membership sign ups and email addresses, The Flash will be emailed to parents every Friday.
All parents, including those who do not join the PTA, will be able to access it on this website each Friday
Parents who join Bungay PTA on Facebook will see a link posted each Friday to the Friday Flash
We will always have hard copies available at the school that you or your child can take home. The only thing that will change is that multiple copies will not go home, and multiple ways of accessing the Flash in a timely manner will be offered!
We hope you will plan to come to some of the meetings this year or serve on a committee. We look forward to seeing you at Meet the Teacher Night on either Sept 14 (K – 2) or September 15 (3 – 5) at 6:30.
